The course is apt for intermediate students who have been learning either vocal/instruments or mridangam for a few years and are looking forward to transitioning into budding performers. It gives a detailed insight into the basics of performing with accompaniment in case of a vocal or/and instrument student. It gives mridangam students a deeper understanding of how to accompany a vocalist or/and instrumentalist.

In this course krithis in 5 talams- Adi talam, Rupaka talam, Khanda chapu talam, Misra chapu talam, Adi talam 2(double beat)have been explained with demonstration in detail. The krithis handled start on samam(on beat) which are simpler to start as a beginner to accompaniment. Each segment of the krithi (Pallavi, anupallavi, charanam) has been explained specifically so that the development of embellishing a performance is inculcated.
